OUR TIPS ON HOW TO GIVE A PRESENTATION

January 21, 2011

Well, you did a good job in class folks. I saw some of you abosorbed in the videos in youtube or the presentations on how to give a presentation. Now here are your own tips on how to give a presentation. How about listening to the ones your classmates give and trying to write them down? We will all have to be alert to comments to check that our tips are correctly transcribed now from voice to text. Hope it will be good fun and useful to prepare your presentations.

    This is the transcription of the Trini´s voki (the 2nd one). I put the words that I don´t understand very well between comas.

    This is my presentation tips.
    First of all you need to speak loud and clear. Put with you have to say in a logical sequence, captivating the audience.
    It´s very necessary practice and reherse your speech at home, always keep eye contact with the audience. Now what you are strong and “weak pons” are.

    The main tips for a succesfull presentation.
    On one hand: First the planning; and second: including instructions:Introduction, the development and the conclusion.
    On the other hand, it is important to take care about your body language:
    -so be natural
    -Have a good appearance
    -use natural humour
    -maintain eye contact or sain exemples
    -but don’t keep your hands in your pockets
    -try don’t to speak too loud
    -and one of the most important thing is to coose an interesting topic in order to not bother the audience.
    With these advices, be relaxed.

    This is exactly what the skeleton(María) said “speak with conviction as you really believe in what you are saying. Add humor whenever appropiate and possible. You can use statments like “that´s a good question” to buy yourself a few moments to organize your response”.
