What do you think of this video? It is a tourist office video, is it the typical kind of video to promote a place? Would you choose Kerala as a destination for your holiday?

I think that this promotional video does not show Kerala in a very realistic way.
First, the photography of the video is digital and unreal, which becomes a paradox because they try to present this place like a preserved one through the ages. In addition, I suppose that many people looking for tourism at South of India would also prefer to see the locals with their laundry in the river and schoolteachers taking classes on the banks. Anyway, I think it’s nice to have a shower with an elephant (if you are lucky and it agrees!).

By chance I have in this moment two friends of mine in Munnar, south of India, Kerala. And they have sent me a video about their last Hotel. It´s a pity that I don’t know how to submit it. But I can’t tell you that there aren’t vacant rooms in this town and people sleep in a Hotels on which everything is extremely dirty. Although, they are happy because the viewpoints are absolutely amazed.

I think it’s a fantastic video where they combine the photos to attract attention.
Watching it, you can imagine a place to enjoy quite waters, beautiful beaches, alternative medecine, relax and spiritualism.
Maybe the video don’t show the real life in India but if they want to promote Kerala it’ll be better display pleasant images than the cruel reality.

The video is different and original. Tp put it simply: I,ve never seen a promotional campaign like this one. Kerala has to be an incredible place. The pitty is that on the video you can,t appreciate the authentic atmosphera of the place itself.
