My blueberry nights

December 17, 2008

Just to recommend another film to you. My Blueberry Nights, the last film by Wong Kar- wai. Although it is the first time Wong has worked in The States, with occidental actors, he follows talking about the same topics he dealt with in his Chinese films; love, relationships, loneliness, etc.. As in “In the mood for love”, with an original and overemotional plot filmed beautifully in Hong Kong, in Blueberry Nights the narration is very original and fresh, as well. Wong Kar is always playing with the camera, with the time, with colors and textures. At the end he is playing with your imagination, actually. Excellent sound track as usual, in all his films. This time images and music are coming together and making the movie a wonderful visual poem about feelings. Terrific performance by the singer Nora Jones, in her first appearance as an actress. Also remarkable are Jude Law, Nathalie Portman, and Rachel Weisz acting. Don’t worry about the English original version, quite understandable, with characters not too talkative. A delightful film!

last saturday I watch “Revolutionary Road” and I think is a very good film and I strongly recommend you.
This film is in the UGC and from my point of view is not very difficult to understand, although I needed read subtitles frecuently.
    Splendid performance by Kate Winslet.
